About Us

Aquatayf is a biotechnology company founded on January 11, 2018, with support from TÜBİTAK 1512 entrepreneurship funding, operating within Istanbul Technical University ARI Technopark, engaged in research and experimental development activities.

We work on the commercialization of microbial enzymes isolated from organisms known to adapt to desired conditions from Anatolian microbiota and cultural wealth, which we have determined to be unique through genetic and biochemical characterization.

Additionally, with our existing capabilities and infrastructure, we provide laboratory services including DNA sequence analysis and basic microbiological and genetic analyses in line with requests received through our collaborations with organizations engaged in research, development, design and production of mid-to-high technology manufacturing products in our country.

With our result reports based on the protocols we have optimized, we aim to contribute to ongoing research and development activities, especially at our universities.

The Importance of Using Model Microorganisms in Biomedical Research

The evidence pyramid encompasses scientific research techniques that demonstrate diagnostic levels. At the base of the pyramid are in-vitro studies, cell culture studies and studies conducted with model microorganisms. If the results of this first step conducted with model microorganisms that are the subject of each biomedical research in the literature can be examined and evaluated interdisciplinarily, it can be more clearly established at which level of evidence which scientific data should be used. In this way, the number of studies to be conducted with model animals and the number of experimental animals to be used in animal studies required at higher levels of the evidence pyramid will once again be considered more carefully.
